Priya and Nades Murugappan and Australian-born daughters Kopika and Tharnicaa, five and three, have been in detention on Christmas Island since August 2019 when an urgent injunction stopped their deportation mid-flight.

Next month will mark three years since they were first detained and taken to Melbourne.

Amanda Keller has spoken out about the importance of this Tamil family in the Biloela community, and the need to bring them home!

“We’re keeping them in isolation. These little girls have been in isolation, imprisoned for over 1000 days,” she said.

“It has cost the Australian tax payer over $4 million to keep them there.”
