Media personality and former game show host ‘Baby’ John Burgess is currently in intensive care at the Royal Perth Hospital due to a bacterial infection, the West Australian reports.
The 78-year-old is reportedly in a stable condition with his wife by his side, and is expected to make a full recovery.
Manager Evan Broadway told the publication that Burgess is due to be discharged on Friday, and is already eager to get back to his work as a radio announcer.
“He wanted to work Saturday, and we said ‘nah mate have the weekend off, just take the day off’,” Broadway said.
