A massive recall has been issued by winemakers Brown Brothers to Coles, BWS, Dan Murphys and IGA customers over their Prosecco Rosé.
The bottle is at risk of breaking.
“Brown Brothers is conducting a recall of Limited Edition Prosecco Rosé, 750ml. The product has been available for sale in clubs and pubs (Qld and WA), and Coles, BWS, Dan Murphy’s, IGA, and independent liquor retailers nationally,” Food Standards said in a statement.
“The recall is due to bottle breakages. This product may cause injury due to glass breakage.”
The bottles affected are those dated 04/10/19 and 22/08/19 on the packaging.
Consumers are warned not to open or drink the product, instead to safely dispose of the product and send proof of purchase directly to Brown Family Wine Group for a replacement or full refund.
Alternatively, return it to the place of purchase for a full refund.
