A dog disease has been passed to a human in Iowa, USA.
Several cases of Canine Brucellosis have been confirmed at a commercial breeding facility for small dogs according to state veterinarian Dr Jeff Kaisand.
The affected dogs are quarantined and being tested.
Officials are now trying to identify and notify anyone who owns a dog that has been exposed. Signs for dogs include infertility, spontaneous abortions and stillbirths.
Symptoms for humans include fever, sweats, headache, joint pain, and weakness.
