The guest list for Prince Philip’s funeral this weekend has been finalised, but there will be one prominent member of the royal family missing from the proceedings.
Sarah, Duchess of York did not make it on to the final guest list for the service, with current restrictions in the UK still limiting numbers at funerals.
The rules will mean an unusually small service for a royal family member with only 30 people permitted into St George’s Chapel at Windsor Castle.
However, it does not seem like Fergie is too bothered by apparent snub.
The Duchess has reportedly been making the trip to Windsor Castle alongside ex-husband Prince Andrew over the past week to walk with the Queen and her Corgis.
According to royal observers, it is believed that the Queen has long had a soft spot for Fergie, despite Prince Philip’s reservations about the Duchess following the infamous ‘toe-sucking’ scandal in the early ’90s.
The Duke and Duchess of York moved back in with each other and their two daughters in 2008, having separated in 1992.
