If this gorgeous boy doesn’t make you smile, then nothing will.
Sydney’s Taronga Zoo has announced the birth of an adorable François’ Langur monkey on a very special day – World Animal Day and World Smile Day!
At just one week old, the beautiful monkey is yet to be named but has already stolen the hearts of people across the country.
François’ langur monkeys are among the rarest monkeys in the world, with only around 3,000 left in the wild.
Despite his parents’ black colouring, this little guy was born with bright orange hair. However, his vibrant colour will eventually change and become black like his older siblings.
“It’s very interesting seeing the females in the group interact and care for the baby. They all clearly care for him very much, and pass him to one another throughout the day,” said Senior Zoo Keeper, Jane Marshall.
“Not a lot of people know about François’ langurs as a species, but these beautiful animals are very vibrant animals, who are incredibly agile and intelligent,” she added.
What a cutie!
