Sydney beaches were filled to the brim yesterday as temperatures soared across the state, with conditions peaking at 30 degrees in some areas.

Health Minister Brad Hazzard defended beachgoers at the daily COVID-19 press conference, saying: “I think that the fresh air, we know that it is the safest place to be at the present time.”

It’s safe to say that people – particularly those in Sydney’s west – are not happy.
