No one picked the right numbers in Thursday night’s massive $80 million Powerball draw, so you know what that means.
Division One will jackpot to a bowel-shaking $100 million – the second biggest jackpot prize offered in Aussie lottery history.
But while no one scored the top prize in last night’s draw, a total of 1,912,529 prizes worth more than $33.35 million were won in divisions two to nine.
Among those, were 10 division two winners, who each pocketed a not-too-shabby $92,407.70.
But back to the $100 million.
It’s expected that 1-in-3 Aussies will snag a ticket into next week’s draw.
“For this week’s $80 million draw, we saw brisk trade at our lottery outlets around the country and online. The peak of ticket sales [on Thursday] was at 4.52pm when 3,646 tickets were sold in-store and online in 60 seconds,” the Lott spokesperson Lauren Cooney said.
“It’s going to be a busy week in lottery outlets across the nation and we expect queues out the door – particularly on the day of the draw – as people vie for their chance to win.”
