NSW recorded 11 new COVID-19 cases that see the Eastern Suburbs cluster grow to 36 in total.
All bar 1 of those cases are linked to one another, which is good news.
Premier Gladys Berejiklian reveals she was a casual contact and has been tested, isolated, and returned a negative test before the press conference.
“Please know that if you’re symptomatic and you put a mask on, it doesn’t mean that you’re not going to transfer the virus to others,” Gladys reveals her concern level is ‘medium to high’ at this point in time.
With 48 thousand people tested, Gladys is asking for people to get tested and those numbers to go up!
The new variant of the virus is more contagious, so masks, hand sanitising, and social distancing have never been more important.
