Melbourne Storm have confirmed that one of their NRL players – rising player Harry Grant – is being treated in hospital and will undergo further tests after suffering facial cuts in an overnight incident.

The Storm issued a statement after reports a player, who wasn’t involved in their NRL preliminary final loss to the Sydney Roosters on Saturday night, was found on the doorstep of a Richmond house with an ambulance called.
We have been notified there is no ongoing Police investigation into this matter.

The player is expected to leave hospital today.
