Time is running out to snag a ticket in the $80 million Powerball jackpot!

A surge in ticket sales is expected this arvo, with one-in-three Aussies snapping up a ticket in tonight’s massive draw.

It’s the second-highest jackpot in the game’s 23-year history and the third time an $80 million prize has been up for grabs.

The Lott spokesman Matt Hart said they were expecting a “frenetic” scramble towards the end of the day to get a ticket.

“The last time we had an $80 million draw, the sales peaked around 5pm on the day of the draw when more than 4200 entries were sold in 60 seconds,” he said in a statement.

More than 750,000 tickets are expected to be sold.

Hart reminded players to register their entries.

“…I’ll be standing by on the night ready to reach out to any division-one winner. It’s a phone call you’re going to want to take.”

You have until 6pm.
