After news arose that Victoria would be constructing dedicated coronavirus quarantine facilities for returned travellers, many thought that Gladys Berejiklian may follow suit for NSW.

However, according to the NSW Premier, these custom-built quarantine centres are “not a good thing”.

“Quarantine facilities need thousands of staff,” Berejiklian told Jonesy & Amanda.

“The risk is there no matter where you have the quarantine system because staff then have to go back to their families.”

She added, “It’s really important to have a tight system… and in the CBD, it works!”
