Apple have unveiled their latest tech ventures at a launch event this morning, including three new iPhone models that are promising incredible new camera functions, faster performance and longer battery life.

Introducing the iPhone 11, iPhone 11 Pro and iPhone 11 Pro Max, which were presented to the world at their headquarters in Cupertino, California.

The new phones are available in six colours, including yellow, green, purple, black, white and red and will start at $1018.

“iPhone 11 Pro and iPhone 11 Pro Max are the most powerful and advanced smartphones we have ever made,” said Apple’s senior vice president of Worldwide Marketing, Phil Schiller.

So what are the new features?

The latest camera functions is probably the biggest draw-card with the phone now sporting two cameras on the back, rear wide and ultra wide lenses, as well as a night mode.

There is also a function to take slow motion selfies, as well as tons of new video functions including cinematic video stabilisation and extended dynamic range on both the main and ultra-wide cameras.

And pet lovers rejoice, because the “portrait mode” apparently will now work on our furry friends, not just on human faces!

It’s processor is also set to be much faster, featuring a new 7nm A13 Bionic, which is set to be 20% faster than the one before it.

The battery life will also be improved, with the 11 set to last one hour longer than the iPhone XR and the 11 Pro version to last a whopping five hours longer.

The iPhone 11 Pro and Pro Max are also set to have the toughest glass ever, so perfect if you constantly drop your phone, and are water resisted for up to four metres for up to 30 minutes.

Other specific features for the iPhone 11 include:

For those excited about Apple’s new streaming service, the release date for this was also unveiled at the event.

Apple has revealed its streaming TV service will kick off on November 1 and cost $US4.99 ($A7.27) a month, as the tech giant moves to strengthen its focus on services.

Apple TV+ will be available in more than 100 countries and buyers of an iPhone, iPad or Mac will get a free year of streaming television service, the company announced.

Apple is in a “holding pattern” until it rolls out 5G phones with faster mobile data speeds next year, analysts said.

Instead, services like the television content, featuring the likes of Oprah Winfrey, that will compete with Netflix and Walt Disney could take centre stage.

The new strategy comes as iPhone sales have declined year-over-year for the past two fiscal quarters and investors are fixed on the growth potential for services.

Apple also announced its video game service, Apple Arcade, will be a tab in the App Store and available starting September 19 and cost $US4.99 ($A7.27) a month, with a one-month free trial.

Apple also unveiled updates to the Apple Watch and iPad.
