A stampede has erupted at an ALDI store in Sydney’s West as hundreds of customers burst through the doors to get their hands on toilet paper.
CCTV footage captures an employee opening the doors before being bombarded by shoppers in need of toilet paper. They are seen scrambling and shoving each other on their way to the toilet paper aisle.
Frustrated Australians have lashed out at the animalistic behaviour, calling the behaviour ‘bizarre’ and ’embarrassing’.
“Glad coronavirus doesn’t spread as quickly as stupidity in Australia,” one person wrote.
“Bloody greedy people disgust me, I’m disabled and can’t even get it,” another added.
A third wrote, “Australia, the laughing stock of the world!”
