Photobombing is back.

And while we’re normally loathed to dredge up old viral Internet trends, this one’s for a really good cause.

An Instagram account called ‘Koalas Of NYC’ is taking photos of plush koalas that have been scattered all around the city to raise awareness for the plight of our furry friends in the devastating Aussie bushfires.

The koalas have a note on them that reads: “1 billion of the world’s unique wildlife has died in the Australian bushfires,” and encourages people to donate.

It’s become a viral hit, with tourists taking photos with them, and even making appearances on local news channel PIX11.
