A drunk driver has been sentenced after falling asleep at the wheel in a KFC drive-through, according to the Herald Sun.
The farmhand had just been drinking at the pub next door to Pakenham KFC in Melbourne when he got the munchies and drove over to get some dirty bird.
Police were called after other customers were complaining the Dhillon had fallen asleep in the queue.
A breath test revealed he was more than double the limit and his car was impounded and license suspended immediately.
After pleading guilty at Dandenong Magistrates’ Court last Tuesday he was fined $600 and disqualified from driving for 11 months, backdated to August.
“You made the decision to drive to the hotel, that’s always fraught,” Magistrate Tara Hartnett said
“Things unravelled from there.
“You were more than double the limit on this occasion, but in all other respects you are a hardworking person.”
