Today’s the day when non-gamblers head to their local newsagency having no idea how to buy a Powerball ticket.
But with $100 million up for grabs, we don’t care how much of a goose we look like.
By ‘we’, I mean me.
“We’re anticipating a rush for tickets between 4pm and 5pm, which could peak to more than 500 tickets sold in a minute,” Lotterywest spokesperson James Mooney said.
“This rush follows Tuesday’s $50 million OZ Lotto draw, the only difference about tonight is the jackpot sits at $80 million.”
Good luck everyone… particularly my lotto agent who will, again, groan loudly when I cluelessly say, “one Powerball game tickety-doo please, John.”
