A multimillion-dollar proposal with the hope of transforming Westfield Hurstville into a late-night dining destination is in the works. 

The St George Shire Standard reports that the Scentre Group has submitted a proposal to Georges River Council for the centre to include a “rooftop garden, laneway-style food hall and community green space”.

The publication reports that the proposed refurbishment will cost an estimated $17m, and will include space for markets, yoga, live music and more.

If approved, the upgrades would also cost 69 parking spaces in the existing car park.

The application was submitted on November 11 and is now under consideration by the council.
