NSW is expected to swelter today with the Bureau of Meteorology (BOM) forecasting temperatures of 40 degrees Celsius.
The state’s Riverina region (Hay, Narrandera and Deniliquin) will be hit with dangerously hot and windy conditions, with temperatures expected to exceed 40 degrees Celsius.
Other parts of the state will be hit with temperatures between the mid- to high-30s.

The state’s coast will be hit with large waves, prompting the BOM to warn those swimming to heed marine wind warnings.
