In one of the most messed things to ever happen, a Tarantula Hawk Wasp has been spotted fighting a Huntsman Spider.

A Sydney resident posted a snap of the encounter to Reddit after they got home from work.

“Got home from work to find this Tarantula Hawk wasp carting off a huntsman spider.”

Let’s just stop for a moment and break down the name of this creature…

…TARANTULA…

…WASP…

All of those things are terrifying on their own, so who thought it was okay to put them together?!

“What in the name of gene splicing affronts against god is that,” one commenter wrote.

“Way too many legs in this photo,” said another.

Tarantula Hawk Wasps grow up to 4.5cm long and have one of the most painful stings in the world.

“Fun fact: the Tarantula Hawk wasp is rated as the most painful wasp sting in the world, and second most painful insect sting behind the Bullet Ant,” one Reddit user added.
