If you’re after a relaxing, romantic weekend away filled with culture and excellent wine, you can’t look past Adelaide.
Responsible for exporting Australia’s first wine in 1894, Adelaidians sure know a thing or two about the perfect drop – and the best part is, they share.
The major drawcard is of course the vast Barossa Valley, which wine connoisseurs will already be very familiar with. What they may not be that familiar with is McLaren Vale. Nicknamed sea and vines, the picturesque McLaren Vale vineyards back onto Willunga Beach and are rife with plants and trees, including 200 year old gum trees.
Scenic Victor Harbour is one of the most beautiful spots in Adelaide, with a Causeway erected above the water and dazzling sights surrounding the walkway. There’s plenty to do once you’re there, from the horse drawn tram to cart you across the causeway, to mini golf and kayak hire.
