A Sydney mum has discovered a snake curled up next to toys in her child’s bedroom.

The woman, from Cammeray on Sydney’s North Shore, was reportedly cleaning her daughter’s room when she thought she saw a shoelace on the ground.

However, it wasn’t until she turned the light on that she realised it was a snake.

“I think one of the cats actually let it in,” she says in the video.

She adds, “Watch out, he’s turning around.”

The snake was later revealed to be a golden-crowned snake, which is venomous, but not considered dangerous as it rarely bites.
