From onboard tattoo parlours to champagne on demand and a strict adults-only policy, Sir Richard Branson’s new cruising venture is unlike your average cruise ship.
Branson is promising to “disrupt” the cruise industry when his four-year-old venture, Virgin Voyages, dispatches its first ship, the adults-only Scarlet Lady, to the high seas next year.

The countdown has begun ⏳ Scarlet Lady will launch for Sea Trials in less than 2 weeks — making her way from Italy to France for the very first time. Which has us reminiscing about her February float out 😭Imagine what she'll look like out on the open water this time around! pic.twitter.com/p49fIh9SGq

The 110,000 gross tonne, Italian-built cruise ship will set off on her maiden voyage to the Caribbean from Miami in April 2020. Accommodating 2770 passengers (or ‘sailors’ as the company likes to call them), the ship is designed to look more like a sleek, luxurious yacht than a mega-cruise ship.
It features 1330 stylish cabins with mood lighting, 78 ‘Rock Star’ suites and four ‘Mega Star’ suites.
The “Shake For Champagne” service allows passengers to have some bubbles delivered to them with a literal shake of their smartphone. Oh, and don’t forget the tattoo parlour and vinyl record store on board!
