It’s good to hear some uplifting news, especially in these weird times.
So that’s why we’re so happy to hear that behind those currently-closed gates at Monarto Safari Park in South Australia there’s baby animals entering the world.
This time, in the form of a stripy little zebra foal, the 14th addition to Monarto’s zebra herd.
The baby was born on Sunday morning and we’re told that mum (Gina) and foal are both doing well.
“There is plenty of space for them so they are keeping to themselves and having plenty of bonding time,” said the zoo’s Assistant Curator Anna Bennett.
