New South Wales has recorded a further COVID-19 case, the case is the wife of the man reported yesterday. The remaining close contacts have tested negative at this stage.
Precautionary measures from 5PM today will include a maximum 20 people in a home, until midnight Monday.
No singing or dancing will be allowed in venues and wedding dancefloors will be capped at 20 people. This cap does not include performers.
Masks will be mandatory in indoor settings until Monday and on public transport.
Health officials have said that the infection has likely come from an overseas case from the US, who then quarantined at the Park Royal on Darling Harbour before moving to a health accommodation setting.
CCTV footage is currently being reviewed to see how COVID-19 has been passed on. It is likely there is another case in the community that has provided a transmission opportunity.
A full list of venues that are potential transmission sites is listed here.
