The federal government has recommended that all non-essential travel in Australia should be cancelled.
Essential travel includes travel like work-related activities and compassionate supplies.
Morrison described what happened on Bondi Beach was ‘not okay’ and that premiers will be taking the behaviour into account when they meet at a national cabinet meeting, which was moved to tonight.
The Government has also announced a second stage of measures to keep businesses afloat during and after the coronavirus outbreak.
The government will be giving businesses a payout of up to $100,000 for the period of March 2020 to September 2020. It’ll be worth 100% of the tax the small and medium business are withholding from their employees salary and wages. The payment will be tax-free.
The Coronavirus SME Guarantee Scheme has also been revealed which has been designed specifically for businesses who turnover less than $50,000.
