We all know that drinking water is a basic staple of staying alive

Water also helps keep your body in good shape by removing toxins from your body and helps makes the necessary body fluids.

Drinking juices, tea, energy drinks and coffee doesn’t count as proper fluid for your body.

H2O has a number of other benefits for your health and appearance that you may not have even known about. We’ve broken them down for you.

1) Dry Skin

If you have dry skin even after applying lotions or balms it means you’re dehydrated and your skin lacks water.

Increasing your intake to a few glasses of water every hour will result in your skin becoming shiny and smooth.

2) Frequency Of Urination

Most people urinate around 6 to 7 times a day.

If you urinate less than 2-3 times a day or have not urinated in several hours, you need to drink more water.

By not consuming enough water, you may suffer issues with your kidneys as they won’t be able to filter out all the impurities from your body.

3) Color Of Your Urine

If your wee changes color it can be a major sign of dehydration.

If you are well hydrated your urine will be clear, however if you are dehydrated, the color of your urine will change significantly.

If the color of your urine keeps getting darker you need to start consuming larger amounts of water straight away.

If your urine is brown, you are definitely dehydrated.

Make sure you don’t drink large amounts of water in a small period of time, as it could make you sick.

Instead drink slowly so your body can gradually replenish the water in the required organs.

4) Headaches

Many headaches occur simply due to dehydration.

You can tell is you need more water as this type of headache differ it from normal headache gets worse with movement such as when you bend down to pickup something, move fast or move up and down stairs.

This type of headache occurs when you haven’t had enough fluids or you have sweated a lot.

If you constantly suffer from dry mouth, your throat and mouth can be damaged.

Dry mouth is often caused by lack of water in your body.

Have you felt hungry even if you’ve just eaten?

When this happens to your body is dehydrated.

We feel hunger because our body can confuse thirst for hunger.

Next time you feel hungry after a meal, drink water instead of munching on snacks.

7) Dizziness

Sometimes we feel light headed because your body has lost too much fluid and lacks water.

Despite the dehydration, it’s actually a fluid build-up in your inner ear that can cause dizziness. That is why when you feel dizzy all you have to do is drink a glass of water. You should also know that this condition is very common among athletes who stay in the sun for long.
