Burger King has caused a massive stir over their latest campaign, using a gross, mouldy Whopper.
The vid shows a freshly made burg… and a timelapse and subsequent decomposition of it being left for 35 days.
By the end of the 45-second commercial, the Whopper has transformed into a green-and-blue furry mess.
However, what it’s actually trying to do is promote that, by the end of this year, all restaurants in the US will serve burgers free of artificial preservatives and additives.
Watch it here…
In case you’re wondering how artificial additives help fast food to age, it’s worth remembering “the last McDonald’s cheeseburger sold in Iceland.”
Happy 10th birthday to the last #McDonalds hamburger & fries sold in Iceland. On display 10 years later & looking fresh as ever- hasn’t aged a day. #lastburgerselfie #snotrahouse pic.twitter.com/voDFjltAEA
