Bread, who needs it? At least that’s the case for one sandwich shop in the US.

Instead of bread, Elsie’s uses pickles. Like HUGE, bun-sized pickles.

Yep, so you select what you want in your sandwich and they’re popped between two scooped-out pickle halves.

Of course, this will be music to the ears of those who are gluten-free or doing keto.

“We are a sandwich shop but, in lieu of bread, we use our Elsie’s signature pickle,” Katherine Cohen, co-owner of Elsie’s, told Thrillist.

“We have a family pickle recipe that we resurrected, and we started making sandwiches on our signature pickles and people lost their minds so we just rolled with it.”
