Over the last year or so, America’s Shake Shack has made quite a name for itself. Known for it’s super soft buns, relatively simple burgers, crinkle fries, shakes and frozen custard – it’s popular for good reason.
But, sigh, Sydney is lacking in the Shake Shack department – or so we thought.
Jacks in Newtown has popped up on Missenden road recently, and a week after opening, had to turn people away because they had run out of stock. Why? Because Jacks is Sydney’s answer to Shake Shack – and it’s not hard to see why…
Jacks Newtown only serves two kinds of burgers; a cheeseburger with optional bacon and onion, and a vegetarian burger. The cheeseburger could be mistaken for a Shake Shack original; complete with two ends of yellow-tinted soft buns, melted cheese, sauce, a juicy patty, tomato and lettuce.
But the creme de la creme of Jacks is of course the delicious crinkle cut fries. DAYUM!
Aside from the burgers and the fries, the only other things on the menu are sodas from The Soda Press Co and frozen custard.
