With so much hot, humid weather already this summer, and the threat of more to come, anyone lucky enough to have air conditioning has been cranking it up BIG TIME!
But doing this also means cranking up your power bill, as running air conditioning can prove very expensive.
However, we’ve discovered a simple way to still stay cool, and save you some money at the same time!
The solution is to simply run your AC on the ‘DRY’ mode.
But what’s the Dry mode we hear you ask???
Well, the Dry mode is usually shown on your remote as a water drop, whereas the cool mode is often a snow flake.
This setting will remove the humidity out of the air, by allowing the air in the room to pass through the AC so the water vapor condenses on the evaporator. As the compressor runs at a reduced speed, this will save on energy consumption.
And a bonus to using this setting is that the AC won’t blow out as much cold air straight at you, which can make it unpleasant for people who don’t like it too cold, especially when they’re trying to sleep.
So with more hot weather on the way, why not give this a go instead.
