With an estimated one-in-four observing social distancing rules by working from home, Australians are saving money in a bunch of ways.

On average, most of the people working from home are saving between $50-$150 a week, with bits and pieces throughout the typical work day all adding up.

Take away coffees, after-work drinks and work lunches are among the expenses that people are now avoiding.

People working from home are also being advised to take the opportunity to build a cash buffer if they are questioning their job security.

However, self-isolators are being reminded that when you spend more time at home you’re likely to be spending more on some of the basics.

People are forking out more for power bills, internet charges and office goods, but are being reminded that some of the extra costs are tax-deductible.

Netflix, however, is not. Apologies.
