A holiday-maker who was spotted on the Fleurieu Peninsula in South Australia has taken the step of displaying a makeshift sign in his hire car to stave off any anti-Victorian sentiment.
The rented Nissan X-Trail, which has Victorian number plates, was spotted at Port Elliot with a printed sign displayed in its back window.
The sign reads: “Adelaide Hire Car NOT from Victoria”.
Prime Minister Scott Morrison seemed to call for empathy for those battling renewed lockdowns in Victoria, telling Australians that “We are all Victorians now.”
Another 134 cases of COVID-19 were recorded in Victoria yesterday as metropolitan Melbourne moves back into stage 3 lockdowns for the next six weeks.
And by the way, if you see people driving with Victorian number plates on SA, NSW or QLD roads, don’t abuse them. We’re all in this together!
