The woman is currently believed to be the youngest woman in the UK to have died from COVID-19.
Her name’s Chloe Middleton, she was 21 years old and her family claim she had no underlying illnesses that could have contributed to her death.
Her mother, Diane Middleton wrote on socials: “To all the people out there who think it’s just a virus please think again…Speaking from a personal experience this so-called virus has taken the life of my 21 year old daughter…”
There have been a number of people in the younger demographic who have passed after having contracted the virus.
However, these deaths have been deemed ‘due to underlying illnesses’, COVID-19 seems to have just made their pre-existing condition worse.
Ms Middleton is the first case of death from JUST the virus.
Her aunt, Emily Mistry also took to socials to spread an important message.
“My beautiful, kind hearted 21 year old niece Chloe has passed away from COVID-19. SHE HAD NO UNDERLYING HEALTH ISSUES….The reality of this virus is only just unfolding before our eyes. Please adhere to government guidelines. DO YOUR BIT. Protect yourselves and protect others!”
Emily then said something that really resonated with readers.
“The virus isn’t spreading, PEOPLE are spreading the virus”.
Our hearts go out to this family, and all we can do is spread the message they’re trying to get out.
