Harry Potter actor Miriam Margoyles, who played Professor Sprout in the Harry Potter series has said that Adelaide holds a special place in her heart.
The 79-year-old actress holds dual citizenship with the UK and Australia and has said that she’s a big fan of South Australia.
Margoyles previously copped hate from Aussies when she said that Australia was “brutal” and “greedy”, with particular attention on the number of developments on Queensland’s Gold Coast.
However, Margoyles told the Daily Mail that Adelaide has a little more class.
“I’m fond of Adelaide. It’s an elegant, quiet city,” Margoyles said.
She also said that the Fleurieu Peninsula’s Goolway is high on her list of favourites.
“I warm to there being no people. Goolwa in South Australia is glorious.”
