Just in time for winter, the Cleveland Clinic has released a helpful infographic explaining what the colour of your snot actually means.
Icky? Sure. Important knowledge? Definitely.
If your snot is clear, for example, your body’s just doing what it does and you have nothing to worry about. It’s a bit of a surprise to learn you’re constantly eating your own snot though. Gross.
If your snot is starting to look yellow, it’s time to start worrying. You could be developing a cold or infection and it’s time to focus on recuperating.
That’s a very important questions… Did you stick anything up there? Red snot indicates bleeding which could be caused by something as simple as dry skin.
