The rumours are true – Channel 10’s Family Feud is making a comeback, and you bet survey says ‘YES’!
Earlier this week, Network 10 announced that the show would be returning to our screens later this year, along with host Grant Denyer.
While Family Feud has been having a “break” from TV, it’s now returning with 10 special episodes dedicated to our frontline workers who have been working tirelessly to fight COVID-19.
Each episode will feature doctors, nurses, paramedics, firefighters, teachers and more, along with three team mates, as they attempt to answer questions with the hopes of winning up to $100,000.
Grant Denyer joined Jonesy & Amanda to chat about the program as well as to urge our frontline workers to apply!
“We didn’t want to bring it [Family Feud] back for no reason at all,” he explained.
“It’s a great format and is still aired in 50 countries around the world, the audience loves it, so we thought, what if we brought it back to honour the front-line workers of COVID? It would be awesome to get them on stage, have a laugh, say some silly things and then give them $100,000.
“We’re casting now so if you are a frontline worker or know of one, head to 10play.com.au/casting because we’re looking for you right now!”
He added, “We’re only going to do a short run but it’s in primetime, a new hour long format, so we’ve extended it just so we can have so much fun with it.
“What I love about the show is that it’s silly, wonderful, fabulous, and in heavy, and often dark times, I think there’s nothing wrong with silly at all!”
