The Advertising Standards Bureau received more than 400 complaints about an Ultra Tune Ad which features two woman dancing in skin-tight black leather to sell tyres. The pretty darn overtly sexual ad uses the tagline “we’re into rubber”.

Ultra Tune’s advertisement was closely followed by an ad by Meat and Livestock Australia, which received 376 complaints.
The ad, which features Lee Lin Chin, portrays a mission to rescue Aussies from various countries so they can eat lamb on Australia Day.

Complaints for both ads were dismissed by the Advertising Standards Bureau.
ASB CEO Fiona Jolly told AAP, “What we can see from this list is that the community is concerned about discrimination across a range of categories, including gender, race and lifestyle choices,”.
According to AAP the bureau fielded more than 5000 complaints in 2016.
