Shark Tank hasn’t been on our screens since 2018 but there been… mere whiffs of the possibility of its return.
TV Tonight spoke to Channel 10’s Chief Content Officer and Exec Vice President of ViacomCBS Australia and NZ, Beverley McGarvey has hinted it may return.
“It looks quite simple in its format. But it’s actually incredibly complex. So we do look at it often. I would never say “never” about that,” she said.
If you haven’t watched Shark Tank before, it’s an incredibly addictive show that sees a panel of ‘Sharks’ ie) investors who have everyday Australians come in who have incredible ideas and are aspiring entrepreneurs present their ideas to him.
Whether the old panel will return with tech investor Steve Baxter, Boost Juice founder Janine Allis, Talent2’s Andrew Banks, Red Balloon’s Naomi Simson and Greencross Vets founder Glen Richards.
“It’s a very particular show to produce. It requires a lot of diligence on the business side because they’re real businesses. We’ve got a lot of obligations (around) how the businesses work. So it’s not a simple show.”
I’d love to see this show on our screens again!
