The Who’s new archival concert video, Live at Shea Stadium 1982, was released today on DVD, standard-definition Blu-ray and as a digital download.  The film captures the second of two historic shows the British rock legends played at the New York City ballpark in October of ’82 while touring in support of their It’s Hard album.

The video offers restored footage and newly mixed audio, and captures The Who playing a 25-song set that includes many classic songs, some selections from It’s Hard and several lesser-known gems from earlier albums by the band.

Among the memorable tunes the group performed were “I Can’t Explain,” “Baba O’Riley,” “Who Are You,” “Pinball Wizard,” “See Me Feel Me,” “Love Reign O’er Me” and “Won’t Get Fooled Again.”  During the concert’s finale, The Who also performed covers of “I Saw Her Standing There” and “Twist and Shout” in honor of The Beatles’ famous 1960s concerts at Shea.

The show, which took place on October 13, 1982, was part of The Who’s last North American tour to feature drummer Kenney Jones, who took over for Keith Moon after Moon passed away in 1978.

You can watch a recently posted preview clip from Live at Shea Stadium 1982 of The Who playing “Behind Blue Eyes” at Eagle Rock TV’s official YouTube channel.
