Fans of The Voice Australia are outraged after a website glitch affected voting for last night’s Grand Final winner.

For those unfamiliar with the voting mechanics for the show, fans are required to vote online, as opposed to texting a name to a random number like other shows.

It sounds simple, huh? Well, it is… until the website crashes.

Yep, a technical glitch caused the website to completely crash, ultimately affecting the winner’s vote.

The incredibly talented Diana Rouvas from Team George was named the competition’s winner, earning herself a casual $100,000 and a recording contract with Universal Music or EMI.

While many were ecstatic with Diana’s win, others were not so happy, calling the competition “rigged” due to the show’s voting system preventing many from voting.

“Well done #TheVoiceAU @TheVoiceAU … the server won’t let me vote … hey ho, it’s only the GRAND FINALE,” wrote one viewer.

Another added: “Voting crashed. Trash show.”
