Reality dating shows just happen to be our guilty pleasure and while we’re all currently hung up on this season of Married At First Sight, a new dating series has just popped up on our radar and we are seriously intrigued!

It’s called The Proposal and it’s said to be like The Bachelor but on STEROIDS as it sees complete strangers get engaged the same day that they meet each other!

Sounds SO WILD right?

The show originated in the US and is actually by the same producers that make Bachie. Now it seems that it’s on it’s way to Australia and you have the chance to be one of the first people to see it all go down first hand.

Each episode sees 10 singles compete in four pageant style rounds to win the heart of a mystery suitor or suitress, who’s identity is kept a secret until the very end.

The two finalists will get to meet the man or woman who then has the opportunity to propose.

“This is The Bachelor on steroids,” said Head of Network Programming, Angus Ross. “This is one of the most bonkers of shows to come out of the US.”

The Proposal isn’t set to air until June this year on Channel Seven, but if you want to be one of the first to see it here Down Under you can actually apply to be part of the studio audience!

An event created by That’s The Ticket on Facebook has popped up, offering free tickets to anyone who wants to witness the proposals first hand.

“How long does it take to propose? One hour apparently,” reads the event description. “Witness this first hand as you sit in the studio audience whilst the mystery suitor selects their spouse to be! This show is not to be missed.”

Not only will you get to watch the show being filmed but the audience can also win tons of prizes and giveaways! The filming takes place on Thursday March 14 between 12:15pm and 5pm at Fox Studios Australia.

There are some terms and conditions which can be found here.
