She’s one of the most recognised faces in Australian media, and this month, Sandra Sully is celebrating an illustrious three decades with Network 10.

Interestingly, Sandra didn’t necessary strive for a career in television, telling Jonesy & Amanda that the idea of being on TV was the “furtherest thing from my mind”.

After being offered a news-reading role, Sandra opted for regional roles for fear of embarrassment from her friends and family.

“I couldn’t do it in front of my family and friends,” the veteran newsreader told us.

“I was too embarrassed.”

Fast forward 30 years, and Sandra is one of the country’s most renowned media personalities.
