If you’re planning on catching Sydney’s new driverless Metro this afternoon, expect delays.

Passengers have been left stranded onboard the train between Cherrybrook and Epping.

In helicopter footage of the area, the train appeared to stop just before the entrance of Cherrybrook Station.

Sydney Metro confirmed the news saying:

“There was a train with mechanical issues between Cherrybrook and Epping earlier.

“Trains are now running again at a reduced frequency while they return to normal service.”
