We would never expect to say this just ten days out from winter, but it seems that Sydney is set to experience perfect beach weather today!
Despite us sitting in late May, the city the temperature is set to reach 26 degrees today with mostly sunny conditions and not a single drop of rain in sight, according to the Bureau of Meteorology.
Out in the west, the weather will also be nice and sunny once the fog clears this morning and will reach an unprecedented 27 degrees!
The rest of the week is set to see temperatures continue to hit the mid-20s in Sydney with the good weather continuing into the weekend.
Speaking with 7News, forecaster Ellie Blandford said that temperatures will sit a couple of degrees higher than average for this time of year.
“Over the next week or so, we’re going to see temperatures that are a few degrees-higher than normal,” she said.
The warm weather is reportedly caused by a high-pressure system that has brought dry and humid conditions.
So if there was ever a day to call in sick to work, we’d say that today would be the day! No one wants to sit inside when you could be sitting at the beach!
