Olympic speed skater Steven Bradbury has shut down rumours that Liam Hemsworth will be playing him in an upcoming biopic.
Ahead of his appearance on Australian Survivor, the Australian gold medallist sat down with Jonesy & Amanda, shutting down rumours that Hemsworth was on the cards to portray him.
“If you read the news and believe it, Liam Hemsworth is playing Bradbury in the movie,” he explained.
“I don’t know whether to believe it.”
“So, it’s not true? I bought shares in it the other day,” Jonesy joked.
“You might want to try and get a refund on those,” Bradbury responded.
Back in February, the 45-year-old revealed that he was hoping the movie – that has the working title ‘Last Man Standing’ – will be released in December 2021, before the next Winter Olympics.
In 2002, the athlete pulled off one of the most unlikely Olympic sporting victories of all time when he won the 1000m short track individual final in Salt Lake City.
You can catch Bradbury on Australian Survivor: Champions vs. Contenders from 7:30pm on Channel 10.
