It was rather shocking for viewers when Lisa Wilkinson made the decision to leave her long-time position behind the desk on the Today Show following a pay parity dispute.
But it wasn’t long before she found her new home at Channel 10 as part of The Project team.
Having spent almost a year with 10, it’s now being reported that Lisa may be about to leave the new program amid rumours she’s in a feud with other cast members.
The claim is being made by Sportsbet, who have said that Wilkinson is “odds on” to leave The Project following rumours of feuding behind-the-scenes.
The online bookmaker has Lisa sitting at $1.85 to leave The Project as a co-host before the 2020 season begins.
Waleed Aly has also been priced at $3.00 to leave while Carrie Bickmore is on $4.00 and Peter Hellier on $5.00.
“We find it hard to believe anyone could be feuding with Waleed or Carrie, but rumours gather momentum, said Rich Hummerston from Sportsbet.
“Apparently all is not well with Lisa and her co-hosts and we’re tipping she’ll go sooner rather than later.”
New Idea is reporting that Wilkinson allegedly stormed out of The Project’s 10th anniversary celebrations following a comment that made her feel like an outsider on the program.
It’s alleged that Peter Hellier said at the time, “We love having you on our show.”
It’s reported that she left the set after 30 minutes of the hour and a half broadcast.
Lisa is currently holidaying in Europe and has not commented on the rumours.
The online betting site is also taking bets on who could replace Lisa, with the favourite being Amanda Keller at $3.50.
Other names amongst the mix include Lisa’s former co-host on Today, Karl Stefanovic, at $4.00, Tom Gleeson at $5.00, The Bachelor’s Osher Ginsberg at $7.00 and Costa Georgiadis at $8.00.
