Rod Stewart celebrated his daughter Kimberly’s 40th at a party with his wife… and his three ex-wives.
The 74-year-old singer was all smiles in a photo with his wife Penny Lancaster, 48, and exes Rachel Hunter, 49, Kelly Emberg, 60 and Alana Stewart (Kimberly’s mum), 74, last week.
Emberg shared the photo to Instagram.
“Can’t believe you are 40! You looked radiant last night! A mother’s reunion!” the caption read.
The four women are the mothers to seven of Stewart’s children.
Stewart first married Alana in 1979. It lasted five years and they had two kids, Kimberly and Sean.
The singer was then in a relationship with Emberg from 1983 until 1990, and they had daughter Ruby.
Stewart married New Zealander Hunter in 1990. They stayed together for 16 years and had daughter Renee and son Liam.
He married Lancaster in 2007 and they’ve had two sons, Alastair and Aiden.
Stewart had his first child, Sarah Streeter, with girlfriend Susannah Boffey in 1963. Sarah was raised by adoptive parents but was later reunited with Stewart.
Last year, Stewart told Rolling Stone that he’d never been more content in all his life.
“I mean, look at what I’ve got. I mean, apart from the financial side of things, lovely houses, I know that’s all materialistic stuff, but I have the most gorgeous wife, and I have eight wonderful children, and two little ones. It’s just fabulous.”
In the same article, Stewart explained what he’d learned about relationships over the years.
“First of all, don’t have your arguments when you’ve got a glass of wine and you’re about to go to bed. Wait until the morning,” he said.
“I’m also a much better listener now than I’ve ever been before. … You should always talk about things, be able to listen and still share romantic things.
“I’m a terrible old romantic. My wife and I, when the kids go to bed, we have candlelit dinners every night. It’s so lovely.”
