Scottish Singer Lewis Capaldi has made a deaf schoolgirl’s dream come true.

10-year-old Niamdh Braid, who was born with permanent hearing loss, joined the Scottish Singer backstage at the Belladrum Festival in Inverness for a heartwarming duet.

In the emotional video, the pair performed a duet of the star’s number one single ‘Someone Like You’ with a bit of a twist – Capaldi sang the song, while Braid performed in British sign language.

Niamdh’s mum, Sam, helped her launch a campaign to perform with the 22-year-old back in July. After attending the festival every year, they were invited backstage to meet the artist.

“He was such a down-to-earth guy, he even admitted he was nervous and he was great with the kids.” Sam said.

“He even posed for pictures in the glasses he is famous for wearing in videos and gave them to the kids as a gift.”
