Queen guitar legend Brian May has been hospitalised after ripping his, um, bottom, during a session of “over-enthusiastic gardening.”
The 72-year-old rock god posted a video of being pushed through a hospital in a wheelchair and an accompanying photo of him wearing a face mask to Instagram.
“No – the Virus didn’t get me yet – thank God,” May reassured fans.
“As well as getting over-stretched and harassed by too many demands … I managed to rip my Gluteus Maximus to shreds in a moment of over-enthusiastic gardening. So suddenly I find myself in a hospital getting scanned to find out exactly how much I’ve actually damaged myself.”
He also added that he “won’t be able to walk for a while” and “the pain is relentless.”
It also means that he’ll be going “dark” on social media while he recovers, meaning no more free guitar lessons on Instagram.
“Please, please don’t send me sympathy,” May said.
“I just need some healing silence for a while. I’ll be back – but I need the complete break. OK? Thanks. Take care out there.”
Despite this, May has posted a few times since.
